Vegas Stripper

I have been a stripper for over 10 years now. I started when I was in graduate school. After graduate school I realized I was not going to find a job that paid me as much as I made dancing, nor find a job that I enjoyed as much as dancing. So I figured I might as well capitalize on being a stripper while I still had the body and looks. Within three months I saved up enough money to put down on a house. That was the best investment I ever made. I also helped out my father with his finances, paid off as much as I could on student loans, and traveled a bit. When I finally did decide to “settle down” and get my career started, I chose to enter the teaching profession. However, even once I began teaching, I still continued to dance….the money was so ridiculously unbelievable. I didn’t want to, nor saw the need to stop. I started going out to Las Vegas to dance though….more money, clubs were open 24/7, you could work when you wanted, and less chance of running into someone I knew. I often times used some of the money I made in Vegas to buy supplies for my classroom. I taught for five years and danced on and off during that time as well. I decided to go back to school full time to earn another degree, this time in nursing. I of course started going out to Vegas a lot more to finance nursing school and to pay for my mortgage and other fixed financial obligations I had. I am a RN now and am trying to ween myself from the dancing, but I will confess, it is so hard to do, not just because of the money, but because I honestly do enjoy to job, especially after being cooped up in the hospital all night. Anyways, as I’m sure your wondering “How old are you now?” Well I’m in my 30’s but I look really young and do take care of myself, so I still do well when it comes to my secret life as a Vegas stripper.

Honestly, you said you enjoy dancing, I can’t really see what’s the problem.
Have a nice secret life ;)

I really do enjoy it. I’m getting a little drained of flying or driving out to Vegas from California though. I’ll do it for another year or two..while my “goods” are still holding up anyways:)..lol

      • I'm not saying your crazy, but... says:

Lol, you could move out to vegas for a while, and have fun till your looks start to go. Then settle down as a nurse or something somewhere else. :)

I say keep going! Invest and retire by 50. I would if I wasnt married…

Wow 50! That’s being ambitious. I hardly think it will be profitable for me at that age…..but I’ve seen it!!!!

I didnt necessarily mean to continue stripping till 50. Just that if you invest in all that you make now in stripping you could be retired by 50…

Well from stripper to outright prostitution isn’t a big jump….I’m told the money is better…..

Then $ may be better (I think it depends on where and who you work for though) but I think there is a difference. Walking around in scantily clad clothing and performing topless lap dances is not the same as prostitution. I recognize that some people insist stripping is damn near close to being a prostitute, simply b/c prostitution does include “sex acts” and I suppose dancing topless could fall under that category. Nevertheless, to each is own. For me, having sex is something that poses to many risks, for example contracting STIs/STDs. Anyways, I’d much rather dance around topless for $1000-$1500 a night than have sex with different men/women….but that’s just me.

Why not? You enjoy it- I’m sure not only with buying supplies for the classroom and helping people out, you being happier and saner has been good for your family, students, and patients. It’s good that you also have a solid career plan for as you age.

I love this story, this is a fine example of a survivour. You are the type of person that I would marry, because our kids would also have the killer instincts of a survivour. but if you cheat on me I would cut your throat. Anyway, when you do settle down, look for a strong man that is LOYAL, or you will be thrown away like a RAG. How do you find a loyal man? You need to look for a mommy’s boy with very strong family values that has witnessed a strong mother that has suffered, sad but true.

    Good luck in your future.

Lol, not many people have the guts to do that, I admire you, and I say, if you enjoy it, then do it! I don’t see a problem, the world needs doctors, and teachers and all that, but hell, men need stripers too. You still look good, and feel good doing it, with no husband or kids tieing you down. You make loads of money doing something you love, so why stop, love yourself and have fun! You go girl. :D Keep doing what you enjoy! :)

I am curious how you have managed, if you have to stay out of drugs and strip for that long? I have a few friends/people I know sort of who have stripped, love it but ended up quitting fairly early in their careers because of drugs being so popular with the profession.
