Someone watching me
Posted by Spooked in Weird on Apr 18th, 2010 | 16 commentsI clean homes. I cleaned a home for the same lady several times and each time I am there I feel a spirit. I feel like someone is watching me. I have felt like it is the spirit of a lady because I have caught the glimpse of her dress. I finally got into a serious conversation with the homeowner and I confessed this to her. She told me that her mother died in the home and her mother wore dresses all of the time.
I always cleaned her sisters home too. I never felt any presence there. Her husband died recently. I cleaned her home today. I kept feeling the same thing. I felt like someone was watching me. I felt this presence standing over me a few times. I looked and no one was there. Am I having psychic experiences?

Demons and evil spirits do exist and that is probably what is trying to get your attention. There is no such thing as a dead person’s ghost. My advise to you is to ignore it and pray to God for protection and help. Don’t go to a catholic church for this, they are useless. Just trust in God and pray. You must also read your bible continuously and randomly because that is the way you will find your answer. God will answer you through His Word and, believe me, He always comes through. Whatever you do; don’t engage the spirit in conversation, it is far smarter than you are and it will beguile you if you give it a chance. The woman you are cleaning for is probably in on it too; and you are probably a candidate for initiation into the occult. Stop working there ASAP; and find a devoted Seventh Day Adventist to help you. This is your only chance; and I know what I am talking about.
Excuse me servant, I do believe in God, but seriously? Who are you to say there is no such thing as a dead person’s ghost? You say that you know what you are talking about? And why is that? Spooked, I think that you feel you are being watched because that was their house before and they are just wondering what you are doing in it. I don’t think this is a “demon” or an “evil” spirit if all it is doing is watching. If it was evil, it would make it very clear that it doesn’t want you there. I don’t think that you are having a psychic experience. Just a paranormal one. Lol I’m just laughing at Servant that says “the woman you are cleaning for is probably in on it too.” Wake up!
Mr/Ms ‘Pissed’. I am a Christian and my beliefs are only based on the Bible, though I don’t belong to any denomination. I am more inclined to the Seventh Day Adventist church because they are the only church with the principle of Sola Scriptura (Only Scripture). I have also invested a lot of my time (almost 3 yrs) in studying the occult(Know your enemy) although by profession I am a Chemical Engineer. The views that I express in my earlier post are well studied,founded and EXPERIENCED. I suggest that it would be wiser for Mr/Ms ‘Spooked’ to listen to me, instead of you. Please don’t miss lead others because of your ignorance. No disrespect intended.
I’m sorry servant but if you where a true christian you wouldnt be bashing other religions such as your refrence to the catholic church,and you wouldnt boast about your religion in a bragging fashion!…but anyway yea it’s probably just a spirit trying to figure you out. If it was anything as serious as a demon you would know it by now.
You guys know that there’s no such thing as God, right? Our imaginations play tricks on us all the time. Chances are, if you caught something moving “out of the corner of your eye”, it’s just your imagination.
Kav how do you know that there is no god? What is your proof to your comment? How is it that the bible was written so long ago and it talks about men having one less rib than a woman, why is it that when people dig so far in the earth that there is an area where there is no sign of life (like the flood), and how exactly do you think we came about? Do you think we evolved from monkeys? If so why are there so many monkeys on this planet that haven’t evolved? I’m not trying to say you are wrong and I’m am right…Just trying to figure out why YOU don’t believe? I on the other hand do believe in God. I feel like this…All he has ever ask of us is to live happy lives. To do the right things… and if its true or not… it gives me hope…and sometimes when I feel that something is watching me I feel better when I pray. It makes me feel better to know that something is there for me at all times. I do beleive that we are in the middle of a battle…and sometimes those things watching us can be something evil…something trying to get to you to pull you down….And sometimes I feel that it could just be a loved one watching over you. I mean what else is there to do till he comes back for us? Sleep. And another ? kav… when you die..what do you think will happen to you and your soul(if you think you have one) do you think you are going to turn into an animal or something…just curious. I mean if you don’t believe in god what is it then. I seriously doubt that you think you live and die and that’s that!
What would you conclusion-jumping paranoid superstitious folk do without mild coincidences and imagination? You might have to think about something rationally for once.
Trust me, if you are thinking this, maybe you are a little attention-starved. I know it sounds like I’m saying you have a flaw, but it’s very common and quite ordinary. Maybe you don’t feel satisfied in life, in some way? And you just wish, without realizing it, that something is “watching you” granting you an importance that others don’t have. Nothing wrong with it at all..
But there’s no reason to assume ghosts exist. Suure.. There’s nothing to say they definitely don’t exist, but there’s also nothing to say that we all won’t die tomorrow. So why not just go out and start looting without thinking about consequences? Because that’s not a smart way to think, that’s why.

“Pissed” the irony that you find “Servant”‘s beliefs about it preposterous is sweet enough to render me in helpless fits of (figurative) laughter. If you’re a pot, don’t call the kettle black please.
And “Servant”, I’m shocked you can call yourself christian. Reading up on the enemy, are you? Not very christian at all. You seem to treat your religion (though I do understand that you aren’t tied down to any one denomination) more like X-men than anything else.
Believing in God is just as illogical as believing in ghosts, and I don’t treat either one any different. If you believe in demons and evil spirits, why say ghosts can’t exist? If you believe in ghosts, why say that a woman being possessed by spirits is laudable?
This web of hypocrisy can only be confusing “Spooked”. It means nothing to me of course, but it would be very wise for you to consider less paranormal options before jumping to conclusions. And above all, do NOT leave your JOB of all things to go and ask god for help!

Yes, religion has nothing to do with it, so “Spooked” shouldn’t leave a job because of it. Ghosts most likely have nothing to do with it either though.
Lets answer the actual question that was asked, eh? First off, paranormal and psychic experiences are two different things. Anyone can experience both, but people who have psychic experiences are more inclined to have them repeatedl and with different experiences. Paranormal experiences can be a one time thing or something drawn out, maybe the spirit is just getting a kick out of you scrubbing toilets lol. My advice is just relax and dont become frightened. Its nothing to do with god, el diablo, or even the fricken easter bunny. Take it easy.
I haven’t studied it enough to know that there is a difference. You mentioned the experience repeating itself? I have had this experience on a few different occasions.

Wow, that’s freaky, I belive in ghosts. They may not be trying to hurt you, they may be watching you because their curious. My mom cleaned a haunted house once too. There are things in this world we can’t explain. ;)
Before Hoodini died he promised his wife if there was anyway that he could come back from the dead to prove there was an afterlife he would come back. They set up a code that would let her know it was really him, but she never found anyone that could “conjure” him.
Of course your experience is fabricated imagination and I suggest you refrain from taking advice from these incredulous people. The pios comments here are damaging – do not leave your job and seek a shred of rationale.
