I cheat on my wife plain and simple
Posted by Anonymous in Spouse on Mar 27th, 2010 | 6 commentsHello all, basically I have been with the same woman since 17 yrs old, I’m 36 now and we have two children. She is pretty good fun on the whole and I try and give her the best of every thing.
The problem is I work away from home on ships and rigs and if the opportunity presents it’s self I will have a one night stand. This has been going on and off over the years, some times with long periods (5yrs or more)with out. Recently I have had sex with women, some paid for, and I feel I can’t go on like this, I know I will end up ruining my family and I do love my wife.
I need to stop before I do permanent damage to my marriage or worse and so I can feel good about my self again and get on with life, I don’t even enjoy it and have to get a little drunk for courage.
I realy don’t know why I do it but think it is the excitement which scares me. I really want to stop and I know it is down to me.
I have never told any one about this so do you think counseling will help? does any one know if there is there a discussion forum I can use to talk about this.

You’d best get yourself tested for any std’s and you’d better get yourself into some serious therapy. was ***** worth your family…. better take a deep long look at that question!

One of my best friend’s husband works on ships and he’s always flirting with everyone so your message struck a cord with me. She’s terrified of getting a confirmation of him cheating and terrified of getting some sort of STD.
I also know there’s some pressure( or shall we say encouragement) on ships to have this behavior which sucks.
My heart breaks for my friend and for your wife. Do not tell her! She will never trust you again. Have some tests done for every possible STD under the sun. Repeat when the doctor says. Go to counseling; realizing what you really doing to your family may determine you to stop.
If your blood tests show up a problem come clean and tell her. Sorry, but it’s only fair. Do not think you’re completely protected by using condoms.
You have already done permanent damage. Why do you stay in a marriage if you stray when the opportunity presents itself??? Use the money you’d pay a therapist and get a lawyer. Quit treating your wife like a doormat.
Personally, I would be more willing to forgive my husband if he came clean and was truly remorseful. On the other hand, if I caught him, I would be more prone to loading my 9mm.
Keep in mind that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Truth: If you don’t like what your doing then, STOP IT. You took a oath before god, country but more importantly to your wife. For you to break your oath and to place in harms way your wife and kids, You Sir. IMHO have no honor and are nothing I would call a man.
