Girl accusing friend of rape

He and the girl were both pretty drunk and they end up having sex. My friend said she initiated the sexual contact by kissing him and then gave him oral sex. They then had sex and she was even on top of him during sex he said. Later in the week the girl claims she was to drunk and he shouldn’t have had sex with her so she has been telling everyone he raped her. Nothing was ever filed but she is trying to ruin his name. He said its kinda scary because its his word against her’s if she ever tried to do anything.

Oh my god. How awful. Perhaps you shouldn’t get involved in this one but be there for your mate.
This girl is probably embarrased about her behaviour and is looking for an escape route. It’s terribly out of order and makes it difficult for people who have been raped to come forward. I think if her version of events we’re true, she would be a little less vocal about them around school. Also, she would have gone to the police.
Be your friends brick wall, let her have her 5 mins of fame. I’m a firm believer in karma – what goes around, comes around. People will eventually see her story for what it is.

it is unfortunate but i do know this: sometimes when/if a girl has been raped in her past she will be confused in in denial about what happened so she she say that she’s been raped.. could be that this girl isn’t lying but is confused about who has raped her and when..
this may not easily make sense to people who don’t understand rape and sexual abuse but depending on the age of the victim and who she was victimized by (oftentimes its a close relative or someone else who has some power or control over the victim) the victim will be almost in a state of shock or denial and cannot verbalize what happened to her.
i know, because that’s what happened to me.. it’s really unfortunate for the guy but it’s possible that something about him or the the circumstances reminded the girl that she had been raped, it seems like she’s doing something mean but maybe she really can’t help it if she’s suffering. please see if she will agree to professional help
Being a drunk whore is very different from getting raped. For some reason, this generation seems to have forgotten that.
I doubt anything would happen, given that he was pretty drunk along with her. Even if she presses charges it would be quite hard for her to prove that the sex was non-consensual. The worst part is of course the defamation of character, which as the person above mentioned, your friend can sue for.
It is quite sad and pathetic but I don’t know if the girl is just a b**** or has issues. Either way, someone needs to tell her to shut up and get help. I suggest you tell your friend (in the presence of other friends) to talk to her straight. If that isn’t working, have your friend press charges on her for defamation if she continues to talk s***. It can be quite stigmatizing and emotionally damaging to any man to be called and considered a rapist.
Now the question is, are you a 100% sure you trust your friends version of events and that he didn’t in fact force her in anyway?
Wow, your selfish for not telling the whole school she lied and telling the police it was a lie. Your friend is gonna ruin this guys life its on ur hands.
Advice, did you even ready the confession properly? The girl isn’t his friend, the guy who’s being accused of rape is.
Also, to insinuate that he’s responsible for everything which has gone on since the rumours began is stupidity at it’s finest. It’s upto his friend to step up, it’s up to the confessor to stand by his side.
This is a sad trend these days. Girl gets drunk and has consensual sex, girl sobers up and realizes she’s got a reputation…Girl then accuses boy of rape to try and regain respect. But don’t take my word for it…Just ask the Duke Lacrosse Players
