Mom, Dad

You raised a blonde haired, blue eyed girl who you thought would get married to a white male, have lots of natural white children and follow the religion you bought me up in.

I married a black woman, we have four adopted daughters of different races, we’re pagan.

I’ve never been happier. I may even send you a picture, hopefully the shock will kill you.

Nice going bud!…but that pagan part although not really an issue, it’s nothing to really boast about…don’t blame it on their religion it’s usually people’s messed-up interpretation of “religion” that makes us sick to our stomach.
    Many blessings to you both!

You said your a girl married to another girl..?!?!? I take back all that I said….not cool period.

I dont understand where you are from and what religion you are, above comment I am refering to. But where I come from we respect one another, perhaps religions differ but I will happily say I am a christian but I cannot accept the hate towards love of the same sex. Love is love, and love is something we are suppose to share, your comment was nothing but hate!

To the woman who confessed this, good luck darling, I think your wonderful.

  11. who am I. says:

You have a wicked sense of humor.I wonder if that person is dead LOL-

  12. a soldier said says:

    freakin awesome!

  13. Anonymous says:

you should try loving your parents too. They may not share the same views as you, but wishing they would die isn’t really funny and ruins the whole message.

  14. a visitor says:

Wow… You’re a vindictive bitch. Are we supposed to praise that?

  15. blah says:

Maybe her parents were abusive and mean. Perhaps we shouldn’t make judgments about her character without knowing the whole story. Don’t be stupid.

  16. Anonymous says:

what’s it like living only to spite your parents

  17. wow says:

Neat story! Not too imaginative though.

  18. Jimmer says:

So, you made those choices because that was what you wanted, or because you knew those were the most extreme positions you could find to p*** off your parents?

    Pettiness isn’t pretty.

  19. Anonymous says:

Wow. Way to put your adoptions at risk through this “anonymous” confession posting. “At risk?” you ask? Why?

Because many states have statutes on the book which preclude same sex couples or homosexuals from adopting:

    Florida — Florida Statute § 63.042

    Mississippi — Mississippi Statute § 93-17-3(2)

    Michigan — See M.C.L. §710.24; Matter fo
Adams, 473 N.W.2d 712 (Mich. App. 1991)(holding that two persons not married to each other cannot jointly adopt a child). In 2004, Michigan’s Attorney General issued an opinion that samesex couples who are legally married in another state may not adopt in Michigan as a couple because Michigan does not recognize same-sex marriages from other states, nor does it allow
same-sex couples to marry in Michigan. See Op. Mich. Att’y Gen 7160 (2004)

    Utah — Utah Statute § 78-30-9

So congratulations on having a happy fmaily.

But if someone follows the ISP address associated with your “anonymous” posting, you may have put your family in jeopardy.

    Prudence before pride.

  20. henry says:

    not believable

  21. bahh says:

you are a foul child who has disappointed the people that brought you into this world. You should be ashamed!

  22. slaop says:

Well, only a theist could be as vindictive as that.

Are you trying to imply you are better then your parents?

I question the validity of your statements as a whole. It almost seems you wrote that “confession” so you could get people rilled up.

I also think that YOU are to wrapped up with race, why does it matter that you are blue eyed and blond haired? Would I not have gotten the point if you just pointed out that the person you married was different then what your parents would have liked?

If this is a true “confession”, it looks like you haven chosen love to make a statement and in my opinion that would be one of the worst ways to go about loving someone.

  23. Onph says:

It’s better help your parents to be better people than hate them because they aren’t.

  24. bola says:

I’ve always been told that women are the more compassionate sex, now I know what they meant.

  25. bola says:

“Maybe her parents were abusive and mean. Perhaps we shouldn’t make judgments about her character without knowing the whole story. Don’t be stupid.”

As an adult she’s accountable for what she writes. Stop making excuses. What kind of person tells their parents to die, in such a smug, cold-hearted manner?

My parents were terrible. They abused me verbally, psychologically and physically. Now that I’m grown up, I see them as human beings, not so much as parents. I see them as people who were struggling, who had their own pain and limitations. I still think they were bad parents, but as human beings I’ve forgiven them.

  26. ghost says:

    bloody awesome

  27. Chicken says:

It’s amazing how many people want to discourage you from living a life where you are happy and there is love. This world seems bent on telling people who to love and who to hate. Glad you’re happy and you have given four children a loving home. Good luck with everything. And eventually, your hatred for your parents will fade and you will pity not despise them. xx

  28. Larry Vickers says:

…Just goes to show you that Pagans aren’t peaceful people!

  29. Anonymous says:

    Have fun burning in hell.

  30. Ex-Lesbian says:

I laugh at your future lesbian daughters and there messed up relationships

  31. Really? says:

“…Just goes to show you that Pagans aren’t peaceful people!”

So anyone who says anything is a representative of their religion as a whole, and all the people following it?

If this is the case, then there isn’t a “peaceful person” in the world. Rethink your statement Larry Vickers. Using your logic I could characterize ANY religion as bloodthirsty and without morals.

The world doesn’t work that way.

To the original confession, good for you. I hope you continue to do what makes you and those close to you happy.

  32. Ben says:

Ok, you ticked off your Dad – are we supposed to give you a medal? Honestly, you sound like the angry party in the whole affair.

  33. Debby says:

Until you forgive your parents for whatever hurt you feel they inflicted on you, you will never be free. You think you are now because you’ve made the choices mentioned, but you are still dragging around a huge load of old baggage around and it hinders you from moving on in a truly good life.

  34. hoorah says:

kinda just makes you sound like an angry bitch…tbh

  35. good job says:

be proud of how you turned out!

just look at the sheer stupidity of some of these comments. think… you could have ended up like these people! what bitter, unhappy lives they must lead.

  36. TwisT says:

    sad……..i feel sorry for you…….

  37. Fear the Higgs Boson says:

Christians, as well as Islamists, are not peaceful people. They’re the ones who hold sexism, racism, fascism, homophobia, xenophobia and megalomania.

The Bible teaches us that women are inferior sex objects. Women are raped and beaten multiple times in scripture. It teaches us to kill members of other faiths, homosexuals, adulterers, atheists, pagans, false teachers, disobedient children and anyone else who God wishes to be executed.

Monotheism is the virus of mankind. It is the purger of reason and knowledge, which seeks to destroy ideals and freedoms that are physical and undeniable truths backed by evidence, embraces the delusional desire of immortality as a reality, and teaches that willful ignorance is a virtue.

“Whenever morality is based on theology, whenever right is made dependent on divine authority, the most immoral, unjust, infamous things can be justified and established.”

    – Ludwig Feuerbach

So, Mom and Dad, I confess this; I am an atheist. And quite staunch atheist at that. I have rejected Christianity and the Bible, and all religious belief, since the age of 17. Even hearing the name Christ makes me cringe. I’m quite disgusted by religion and will continue to be until my death. So there it is. Like confessing a murder (as our society treats atheism).

  38. Sherlock says:

Aha! you’ve all tried and failed to come up with the motivation for this post, but I have the answer!! The author quite obviously wanted to read all the stupid and judgmental crap that everyone would post because for some reason, deep down inside you all believe that you and only you are doing life the way everyone else should. Kudos to you, mysterious author, I hope you had a good chuckle at these numb-skulls. I know I did!

note to commentators- there are billions of people on earth. they all live differently. if they all think that their way is better than yours, how can you say yours is the best with any confidence? DON’T JUDGE PEOPLE.

  39. Lotte says:

As long as you are happy and don’t hurt anyone – congratulations to you!
And to all the thight-assed people on this site: Losen up will you?!

  40. youknowdismang says:

that is the most awkward household ive ever heard of.

wow your kids are not going to have any friends.

  41. jd says:

my friend’s mum is a lesbian married to a black woman

and she has plenty of friends

    and she’s straight

proof that children don’t get messed up.

i’m proud of you for sticking up for yourself!!!

ok the parent bit kind of let u down but as someone said earlier we dnt know what you’ve been thru.

    i’m catholic btw – doesn’t mean i’m homophobic! plus i’m bi!

    so **** the haters!

  42. Anonymous says:

I envy the kids. They have the most beautiful and liberal parents ever.

    Good luck n love

  43. geoff says:

  44. kaly says:

My girlfriend’s sister is the straightest person in the world and her nother is the gayest woman. Dont believe that a gay person will raise a gay daughter.

thats the most ignorant thing ive heard.

  47. jostemn says:

Happy? She didn’t sound happy to me. She sounds like she is filled with hate, and will never be happy untill she is able to let that go.

  48. jess says:

    Amazing.
It’s funny how things turn out eh?
Sounds like you have a wonderful life.

  49. kav says:

“Another man shall not lay with a man”

Have you read the rest of that verse? Cos people are prone to quoting that. If you live by that verse, don’t ever get your hair cut. Because that verse condemns that too.

Good for you, missus! Well done! I hope your parents are dead of shock too. I wont say “burning in hell”, because hell doesn’t exist.

  50. Anonymous says:

I agree with Kav – that Bible quote (as with the majority of the Bible) only refers to men so if the religious preachers are in to taking the Bible THAT literally, women can do what the hell they want lol!

For all the people hating – I don’t think she actually intended to wish death upon her parents. It’s called RESENTMENT – when you say “I could have killed her/him” you don’t actually mean it. I say good on you, not many people are as strong and I wish you a life time of happiness!
