Kissing

I turn 16 in April and have yet to be kissed. If I don’t get kissed by the end of March I’m taking desperate measures!

so was i, but in the end it worked out.

p.s., watch your signals, sometimes we set unrealistic expectations and send negative signals to everyone else.

my kiss came from my neighbor, who had and continues to love me deeply. oh, yeah, he is my significant other.

“Desperate measures.” Why not wait until you are with someone you consider special? Do you know that some STDs can be transmitted orally?? Why risk your health like that? Just looking out for you that’s all.

As someone who took desperate measures at the age of 15 or 16 to get my first kiss, dont. Everyone else i know has a cute story behind theirs, i had an awkward quick moment with someone i didnt even like, making my first kiss forever not special. I’m 21, i regret it all the time :/

I turn 16 in April, and I’ve never been kissed. I’m not ugly or anything, guys just don’t seem to like me very much. But I’m okay with that.

    • Marisa says:

I’m also “not ugly or anything” and I also thought “guys just don’t like me very much.” But my counselor has pointed out to me that I am pretty and that my mannerisms make guys think I’m not interested in them because I do not give them encouragement at all. Men will not approach you if your body language makes them think they will be rejected. It is hard for me to open up to people, especially men, but the only way you’ll ever date someone is if you get to know them, so I will try to stop giving negative signals to people. I’m not a flirtatious person, so it is hard. But I wish you luck!

Don’t push the kissing thing. The “first kiss” won’t be what you think anyway. Kissing be comes an art and you will get your time. I know it is easy for us to tell you that when you are wanting it NOW~ Learn from those giving advise and older. Promise…. It will all work out!

I remember feeling the EXACT same way! I was so embarrass that I hadn’t been kissed; I thought it was because there was something wrong with me. But when I finally got my first kiss (I was 18) it was totally worth it. Don’t get it over with just to keep up with everyone else because I think you would be surprised about how many girls are in your exact same situation. When I get sad about stuff like that I remember the saying “Girls are like apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.”
