Why i want to die

Certain times of year play with my head. The absence of light makes me suicidal and depressed. I try to tell my friends, but they don’t understand…not even my Best Friend. I want to sleep all day, never leave the house, not speak, all because it is so gloomy here….i hate this and i hate my life….

You are not even remotley alone on this. There are a lot of people who go through this, I included. The onset of fall/winter leaving summer behind is a blue period for many people. Pleazse take heart in knowing that the extent of depression you feel is something that is commonly shared; Albeit, not as openly expressed, it is shared. I hope something comes along that will snap you out of this feeling..heck I hope something comes along that can snap me out of my feeling.
    Maybe someting silly..perhaps..

Something that may help you a lot is vitamin D supplements of a minimum of 400 IU a day. I take 4000 iu a day. Sunlight keeps your levels up and winter depletes them leading to depression among other things. Please do some research on this and learn that you CAN help yourself. God Bless You.

Your condition may be called SAD for Seasonal Affective Disorder. It happens to a lot of people, especially during Fall/Winter. Light therapy is often used to help one through this disorder. They sell light boxes and I know there are special lights out there that are more like daylight lamps, rather than regular lamps. These are suppose to help. Hang in there and see a professional for help. It’s nothing to be ashamed of!

It could possibly be seasonal depression. It’s a great idea to take the vitamins, but please go to whatever mental illness clinics are available in your area. The psychs there can prescribe medication that can make you feel so much better. I know, I have a bipolar disorder, etc and I couldn’t leave my room/bed, I had no energy and nothing interested me anymore. I now can go out in public, I go to my groups and mental help classes. Get help! God bless you.
