There is no god

I have seen a family of 14 nearly lose 6 members in what was supposed to be a great vacation out on a boat but the generator blew up. I have seen a young man wreck his motor cycle and was thrown close to 50 feet into a ditch. I have seen a grandmother and her granddaughter t-boned by a drunk driver. I have seen all of them breathe again because I was close enough to save them. It wasn’t Gods will that they survive, it was my training that kept them alive. I’m not an EMT, Nurse or Doctor. I am just an everyday man that has been tested. I’ve passed the test. I’ve saved/helped save 9 people and I am only 24. How many more will I have to save or how many will I not be able to save?
That is what I fear the most….not being able to save. I’d rather die myself.

There is a God. That is why you were there for those people. If someone else was there, then perhaps those people would have died. Instead of thinking about it in a negative way, think about the positive. The positive is that they are alive because you helped them in some way. Is this something you chose? I am sure not. Is this something you can embrace? Absolutely. You can choose to do with it what you want, but I am happy God has put people like you here. You know, God, could only do so much on his own. So I thank you, even though I have never met you or possibly never will. It is very sad those people have suffered, that I do agree, but it wasn’t there time to go, and for htat reason, you were there. I am sure they have thanked you, but I as well will thank you for them.
There’s no God. You were in the right place at the right time, and you knew what to do. Imagine if you were sitting at home on your butt and a scientologist was there instead. For that reason alone, I’d be proud that I was there to help them.
Yes, it feels like everyone depends on you. But to get rid of this feeling go to your nearest fast food joint and make a complaint. Take a look at the face of the person behind the counter. Congratulations: they feel the same as you.

You’re right. There is no God. I’m sorry to all you believers out there, but the idea of a cosmic being living in the clouds is ludacris. Simply ridiculous.
Everyone has there own beleifs, but are you serious; living in the clouds??!! No need to be sorry for us believers, instead we are sorry for the people who don’t believe. I suppose you believe air is a figment of your imagination since you can’t see it either? And we just popped up out of nowhere, right?? So for the thousands of years humans have been on earth, one day way back when, someone decided to make up a story about someone they chose to name God, right? What a joke.
Hahaha I’m sorry, but the idea that some cosmic being created the world and everything in it is a joke. Hell, I could have written the bible. Anyone could have. There’s no proof that God told someone what too write. Also, evolution is how people are on earth. Not God. As for comparing air to God, really? God isn’t scientifically proved that it’s there. And I never said I feel sorry for believers. Ppl can believe whatever they like. Just as I can.
Also you cannot say you can write the Bible thats just plain bullcrap. Have you ever read the bible book by book, each translation, each version. Just be respectful of those who do believe in something and keep your non beliefs to yourself because of you dont believe in something then well why would you care about anyone else who does
And by the way, main reason I don’t believe, is people like you, who get so defensive and angry when someone doesn’t believe in the same thing. I know ppl who hate me for not being christian and dating their son a few years ago. Becuase it was my understanding that God loves everyone equally, but those who are religious, usually are the most unloving when it comes to anyone who doesn’t believe.
I agree with *points up* that dude. Who is agreeing with me in the first place. God has no place here. He hasn’t done eff all for anyone on earth since Jesus, if you believe the bible. So 2000 years later, eff him.

I am not angry, but I am defensive about what I believe the same way you are defensive about what you believe and there is nothing wrong with that cause everyone has their own belief. But make up your mind. You don’t believe because it is impossible for their to be a cosmic being or because of “people like me” that get defensive about believing in God? And your first post did say you were sorry for all the non believers. Anyway, I know the people you are talking about that don’t seem to be happy when they find out that a person doesn’t believe and I don’t agree with that at all because that is not the way to treat people. Everyone has the right to believe or not, and at the same time they have the right to express the way the feel they way I have and they way you have as well. So I will continue with my belief and again thank GOD that the person that originally wrote this confession was their for those people.
honestly.. im 17 and at the “questioning” phase of my life, I don’t know what to believe right now. I was raised Muslim but as I said, I still dont know what to believe. So I just came to the conclusion that I am going to base my belief on what life gives me (experience). Anyways, Whether there is a God or not, It is great to have people like this believer that is arguing in such a professional manner. It is great to have people like this because you give not only hope of good being, but you teach of manners and respect. Just the way you are replying to that disrespectful person is very pleasing to say, and for this I thank you.

Actually, I said sorry to all the believers, meaning sorry for offending. Not I feel sorry for you. I don’t care that much to feel sorry for ppl who believe in God. Do what you want. But alot of the time ppl are crazy about religion, so I just stay away from it because the idea of it is ridiculous.
Do you guys know that the facts that our DNA works so perfectly, and has worked so perfectly for millions of years proves there is at least some type of higher being. Oki I have believed in God, have not believed in god and am totally sceptical of everything now, but the Darwin theory alone does not explain it.
DNA makes me believe in sciene and evolution. Not God.

What you wrote as a title is offensive and you need to look at that. Im not angry about what you wrote just defending what I believe in. I personally dont care that you dont believe in a higher power, but instead believe life came into existence from an explosion, by accident, or whatever you think, and that we live just to live our life to the fullest and die. Religious people arent crazy you just cant say that, people themselves are crazy and some have religion as a crutch and cling to it and actually believe there doing gods will when they are not. And please dont bring up past acts with the church again people kill not the bible. While I do respect you for all the lives you’ve helped, you just should have made the title different out of respect for those who do believe in god. From my point of view it was both you and God that saved those lives and your a great person for that and I hope you continue to help those in need
