I hate my face

I hate my face because it’s always oily and I have pockmarks.. Acne used to haunt me and now that it’s gone I have these horrible scars as a reminder.. I don’t know what to do. Nobody says anything about them. My gf thinks I’m beautiful and have a beautiful face but I think I’m ugly and my face is bad.. Under certain kind of light my face just looks awful.sometimes it looks good sometimes it looks bad. I see actors with bad skin with scars and they look really good but for some reason I think I look bad..

Idk what to do. I’ve tried creams, lotions, scar treatment products and nothing works :(

IDK how bad your scarring is but micro-dermabrasion can kelp and so can chemical peels. If it’s really serious scarring you can get laser treatment but it’s expensive. I have some light scarring and I think exercise and vitamins help too

You may want to consider doing a series of Broad Band Light treatments to help with the scars. I heard it helps a lot with acne scars. A dermatologist should offer these treatments. It’s hard to feel good about yourself even when someone is telling you are attractive because you don’t feel good. I get what you’re saying. Best of luck to you.

I assume that the reason this is posted in the guilt section is that you feel guilty for elevating this vanity to the level of “secret confession?” Get some real problems. Baby.

Interesting reasoning to hate the way you look. I hate the way i look because it resembles so much of my father, a man i tried killing. I’d rather go with the scares. Personal preference i suppose.

You are insecure about your face but your girlfriend absolutely adores you. And yet, sometimes you just need that extra boost of confidence for yourself.

In part, I believe that you should learn to let go of this insecurity because your girlfriend loves you for what’s inside, not your marks. Isn’t that what matters in the end? To be loved for your heart?

Sometimes, imperfections make us perfect. And you aren’t an exception to that. :)

    Chin up, buddy.

Love yourself, that’s what you should do, i’m sure you are beautiful, it’s not the skin that matters, it’s the things you do, scars tell beautiful stories

Start using an oil control moisturiser and do some microdermabrasion, peels or laser foe the scarring. Google it online.
