Guilt For Leaving
I feel terrible every day that I am away from my mother. I have a great fear that once she is gone I will regret every day I spent away from her. This is my biggest fear in life. I feel like moving away from my hometown was a mistake, but I have been gone for so long I don’t know how to go back.

I don’t believe in regret. Just do it & don’t be paralized by indecision.

I left too. I couldn’t handle my mom or the people in the gossip town. NEVER regret what you had to do. Look into yourself & figure out what made you more happy; your hometown or where you are now. Thats your answer.

When you left, did you learn about yourself? I mean, did you get to know YOU? And love You? Did you search the very depths of your soul, and take out the good and bad, instpect it all, look at it, smell it, touch it, ACCEPT IT, then put it all back and know you are ok? If so, it should be easy to go back and spend time with your Mom… unless you do not love her. When you know yourself, to the core, you will know you can do anything.

I wish I had both the guts & power to leave my situation.

I understand what you are saying..because I have felt the same, let her know how much you love her as often as you can and go back to see her as much as you can also, but leave your life your way, the best way you can xx

Theres a story in the bible about two brothers. One is at home with his father, one is away being a slave, until he realizes that his father may accept him back. Once his father sees him he is delighted. He throws a feast, and invite many guest. I think that you will regret the fact of NOT trying?
