death

im a 19 year old male that has a great life but every once in awhile i watch something or hear something that makes me think about dying and what happens after you die. Im a strong believer in god and would not doubt that he is here with us but i still feel like when i die i will be in a void of eternity. trapped in my own head without thought or emotion and just in total darkness. it makes me feel like i cant die and have to live forever. Which is not what i want. i feel trapped every time this topic comes up and i dont feel right thinking about this because i feel as if i have betrayed my religion even though im not a die hard church goer or follower

Am i not being a good christian or and i having similar problems as others idk but i just wanted to see if anyone else had similar thoughts or concerns about this.

    You are not a true believer of the word. Death is death is death and your soul will move on to eternity in whatever form that take. Either in the lake of fire or in heaven.

    You might want to read scripture concerning death and maybe reconsider your belief in eternal life.

    Iv felt this way. I feel paranoid some days that that something will happen to me and the after life will not be quite what I exspect or that there wil be nothing at all. Then I look at the bigger picture outside of my mind and realize there is definetly something more going on and whatever it is it will prob be amazing to find. Dont worrie Everyone has doubts but your not alone in your thinking.

    Hey -

    What you are going through has less to do with you being a good Christian and more to do with you being an adolescent/young adult. During this stage in your life till about your mid-20s you will likely question a lot of things you thought you believed.

    Good News! You are supposed to. It is how you establish what you believe for yourself. When you are a child you believe what others tell you. Part of becoming an adult is learning what you believe because you believe it. Ever heard the term adolescent angst? Your right on target.
