I fantasize about leaving my husband and 3 month old, and starting over. I hate being a mom. I want to find myself again and be independent, not constantly depended on.
Well as a husband who’s wife decided to take that route after 18 yrs… On behalf of your husband and child please learn how to communicate now. Learn how to be heard and learn how to listen.
What make you think starting over is going to be any different.
People usually keep making the same mistakes.
Did your mother run away and leave you?
However, there is probably not many things worse than raising a child that you don’t love. It would surly ruin her life and she would end up runing away from her problems too, or worse.
Stop being so judgmental and offer some real advice.
Not everyone is cut out to be a mother (or a father for that matter). Lots of guys run out, but women are judged way more harsh when they do it. If you are going to do it, do it while your child is still very young. Allow your baby to bond with someone who wants her. Don’t have anymore children for a long long time if ever. It’s not for everyone.
I completely understand how you feel…Its hard to give up your freedom…I hope you figure everything out…Some days I truly think I am just going to walk away and never look back…
Hey guys, there is a whole bunch of posts in this site (600+) that streamed from a single “I hate being a mom” post. It’s under the ‘hate’ category. You are not alone!
It will get better, I know exactly how you feel!! Depression is temporary, leaving your family is permanent damage! Your hormones are crazy, I had postpartum depression and didnt even know it!! I bet you do too, it will pass I PROMISE, and life will be amazing!!
