Truth: No matter how long you clean for, your still a junkie and you will always be a junkie. “Today I am a junkie, but today I will not use” everyday is how you make it. If you have gone into rehab you would know this. Good luck to you, I wish you the very best.

If they are no longer doing drugs, and have decided to clean up their act, and have stayed clean so far, then they are not a junkie anymore, so who are you to say “No matter how long you clean for, your still a junkie and you will always be a junkie.” That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. >:(

Truth: I’m sure you mean well and think you are omnipotent but trust me my Dear, you are wrong. I am correct a junkie is a junkie is a junkie. There are only junkies that use and junkies that receive treatment and will not use today. I’m sorry you don’t like the term “junkie” maybe you would prefer “recovering addict” but I’m just not that politically correct. The dictionary defines the word junkie as “a drug addict, esp. one addicted to heroin” and again anyone who has gone through treatment will tell you when you become a addict/junkie you are one for life. The choice to use is what makes you active or recovered. This is so true it is a core part of almost every rehabilitation program.

I guess so… but I still like to think that people can change. You can’t change the past, but if you stay clean for the rest of your life, then your not really a junkie anymore, but that’s my opinion. :)
