Baby Love

I have a beautiful boyfriend who loves me, has planned for our future, wants to marry me and is even flying me to the UK to live for 2 years. And all I can think about is having a baby. All day. Every day. I am 26, have only $10k in savings and we’re not even married yet. But there it is: I am baby obsessed. Wish me luck for 2014 when we have planned to have a child. 4 years will fly by right!

Go search “I hate being a mom” on this forum, read the post with 220 plus replies. I don’t know if it will change your mind, but it might make the baby fever back off a little bit till you are both ready.

Yes, PLEASE look at the “hate being a mom” posts on this website. PLEASE figure out WHY you want a baby so badly… ? Then, please spend time, A LOT of time, caring for children. Help out someone (for several days or weeks) you know who has a baby and small children…preferably ones who wake up screaming often during the night. Look at this decision realistically, not just emotionally, before you make the huge, unchangeable decision to have a child.
Yeah, look at the ‘hate being a mom’ thread on this site. There are almost 800 comments there, one more sad than the next. Educate yourself, look at the realities of having a baby…then decide if you really want that life or not.
