Life is meaningless

I see no point to this life at all. Even if there is a spirit world after this one, then what is the point in that? Why does anything exist at all? It drives me crazy. I can’t accept that we just are but at the same time detest the idea of any type of plan.

I’m not unhappy. I have a good life. I have good people in my life. I really don’t want for much of anything. I have a good job where I help people. I get up to lots of things that make me happy. It’s all good but over and over again I question everything and the pointlessness makes me wish I didn’t exist.

Half the reason I don’t want kids is to minimise the amount of people who care for me in life. I’m fairly convinced that once my parents and sibling die or move away that I’ll end it all. Yes, I see value in family connections and I recognise the value people place upon life but I just don’t see the point in it.

I know the answer to this sort of thing is unavailable but without them I think I’ll continue to wonder and life will be shadowed with these thoughts. I wish I could stop existing entirely instead of waking up tomorrow.

i feel that way sometimes too and just want to throw up my hands and scream, “what the “F” am I supposed to be doing here, anyway!!!???” but then I meditate and things come into perspective and meaning drifts slowly back and there comes a little peace…

I kind of hear you..but if you detest plans the one you’ve made for when your parents and sibling die is possibly gonna be a bit of a soul twister..forget that ‘plan’ and see how life goes on for you eh? I think answers we all want/need come to us in time and until such time-more time..be patient..you will get them.. :)

hey, pls dont dismiss this without consideration or write me off as a religious lunatic. pls hear me out, i understand your pain.

The bible is a book backed by real evidence, so much so that historians agree it is historically accurate.(godandscience.org) (http://www.facingthechallenge.org/arch2.php) most historians also agree that Jesus exists. They just dont agree on whether they believe what He says. Now, based on this book, there is some things which you can decide to accept or not.

Jesus says that He created you and put you on earth for a reason(Psalm 139:13). He says that you wake up everyday because He sustains your physical body(psalm 3:5). He says He is God of the universe and that He loves you. He says that if you believe Him then He will show you your meaning in life(John 10:10).

So, historians agree Jesus exist. People are just divided over whether Jesus is lying or not. Why dont you check it out? You cant just say everything is meaningless without researching stuff first. You are not just a bag of molecules. You can think. There must be more to life.

    • U r gifted says:

u ARE just a bag of molecules, but you were blessed with consciousness, embrace this, as nearly all molecules on earth and away from earth did not get this blessing. Society is the union of all others with the same blessing, this is what we were given, evolution is what we are about, as a human race we have children and we evolve through learning about everything around us, you have a small but equally important part to play in that, embrace it, we are all ants doing different jobs. I know alot about how the universe was created, to be honest its depressing, but fascinating. We may not make a difference out of this world in our life time (unless u strive harder than any one to do it), so concentrate on what u can achieve in this world.

Sorry, but Stephanie is either lying or deceived. The Bible is not backed up by anything reliable and no reputable historian believes in it.

Do you really think so anonymous? I was wondering about that… but i have not been able to find evidence that there is a more reliable historical book than the bible. if you find me a book more supported than the bible, let me know. i want to know….

You’ve just got to choose your own purpose in life. Don’t expect the universe to hand you one on a platter. It’s up to you.
