I felt very alone for a long time, and I spent a lot of time on my computer. I met people online when I didn't connect to those around me. It might have been unnatural, but I really did create relationships with people I met through games and sites. I learned a lot about the world, and it even gave me the confidence to meet people and make friends in real life. It sounds like you need to meet some people who will make a real difference in your life- and also learn to BE the difference in your life. In a place you despise, you must create your own happiness, your own tiny victories. How long do you really have to stay there?
