I’m 29 years old, pregnant, and terrified of having a baby!
I am scared of losing my life and identity.
I feel completely trapped and guilty for feeling this way.
dont be scared…no one can love a baby more than their mom. if that baby doesnt have you it has no one. i am in a situation where i might not be able to have babies and that scares me to death. i am also 29 and can relate.it will take some time to get used too. have you thought about adoption? if that is not an option, than being the mom that the baby needs is all you can do.alot of things come naturally after you have a baby, you will be fine and dont get yourself all worked up…it is not good for baby ;)
I was scared to death when we had our first child.
“how is my life going to change?”
“what will my life be like now?”
“what happens next?”
“what am I going to do?”
“how can I care for this child now?”
one thing all these questions have in common is they all ask about the unknown.
The simple answer is that you just don’t know but you will be OK.
You will have a very different life but parents have been doing this since the beginning of time.
Our lives have been set out before us in some ways and we are very used to that.
When we have kids, we have to learn to adapt and grow with the moment.
This is an exciting time for you and can be an extremely positive part of your life if you just go with it.
be brave.
you’ll enjoy is lots more, promise.
Don’t be so selfish. You are having the baby so your genes will continue when you die. Your life priorities will change for the better. Before you probably wanted to do more travelling, see the world, have a fulfilling career. After the baby, you will become a devoted mother and will finally UNDERSTAND the real meaning of life. Grow up and raise many children!!! the person that has the most children, grand children and great grand children wins !!!!
You should be proud-you are welcoming someone new to the Earth!! I know you feel terrified of having a baby but if are too scared, do not get a abortion, put it up for adoption when its born. Then you will feel like you did not kill a baby ( which an abortion does!) and you gave that baby to someone who is not terrified.
My son is two yrs old now but for the first year i regretted not giving him up for adoption. I had bad post-partum. but today things are better but I still have days where i think i wish i could go back to my old life. Overall Im glad he is here.
