Alone

I joined a sorority to stop feeling so alone. I sat in a room of 120 people last night at a table alone. When I asked if I did something wrong, the president said she would of sat with me “if i noticed you were sitting alone”. How did no one notice I was the only one in the entire room sitting alone? I never felt so alone.

Perhaps you can go sit at other tables, with other people. Just go up and say hi. Don’t go to the ones that are empty. You’re not alone, you just don’t make yourself noticeable.

Why didn’t you get up and go sit where there were other people.

    Thats how people meet people.

perhaps you are looking for friends in the wrong place. I sure as heck don’t get along with 90% of the sorority girls I’ve met.

Trust me I’ve been in that situation so many times – you just want the ground to open up so you can disappear. Things will get better when the time is right, I promise. Sometimes you just have to endure the bad times to be a stronger person. It’s unbelievable to think that human nature can stoop so low; I’ve sat on my own & felt the way you have so many times so I would never sit back & watch someone else feel the same way. Maybe give it a bit of time but I things don’t improve then leave & join somewhere else…don’t give up because things will get better :)

nobody noticed you because you were hiding yourself.

people communicate whether they want to or not. you were probably showing, through your body language, or through your vibes, that you didn’t want to be seen. so people perceived it, either consciously or subconsciously and avoided you.

what are you so afraid of? everybody has insecurities, usually a lot worse than it seems.

    wish you all the best
